That Book Smell

I remember as a child I used to go to the library and repeatedly check out books from The Enchanted Forest Chronicles and they had this very particular smell. Sort of like an old book, but as  though it were scented with some unfamiliar spice. I always imagined that's what magic smelled like, because, you know, The Enchanted Forest Chronicles. But now I know that I was probably just smelling petrochemicals and vinyl acetate ethylene.

Sort of takes the romance out of it, huh?
