Academic Search Premier - contains indexing and abstracts for over 8,450 journals, with full text for more than 4,600 of those titles. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles.

Student Research Center - an excellent resource for  magazine and newspaper articles.

Owl at Purdue - This online writing lab offers help with research papers, citations, MLA and APA formatting, style guides, research paper help, grammar and mechanics guides, and ESL (English as a second language).

World Book Online - Every article from the 22-volume print set plus thousands more, with multimedia features, reviewed web sites and more.


Discovery Education for Kids - Science is squishy, yucky and noisy. Includes interactive media, online science games, and a station guide.

Kids Encyclopedia Britannica - Explore the most trusted online kids encyclopedia for homework help and general knowledge information on a variety of subjects.


Internet Public Library - a virtual library featuring "Information You Can Trust" which is a searchable, subject-categorized directory of authoritative websites; links to online texts, newspapers, and much more!

Collegeboard - Offers major programs and services in college readiness, college admission, guidance, assessment, financial aid, enrollment, and SAT prep.

Google Scholar - Provides a search of scholarly literature across many disciplines and sources, including theses, books, abstracts and articles.

NoodleBib - MLA and APA bibliography composer with notecards. Free software to help students with the research process. 

Biography Resource Center - your one-stop, authoritative resource for biographies on notable figures in literature, science, history, government, business, and much more.

Occupational Outlook Handbook – information offered online on careers compiled by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Helpful for deciding what to do after graduation.
