LEGO X-Men

So, LEGO has really been killing it lately. Have you seen the Simpsons LEGO set?! They haven't made an X-Men set yet, but LEGO Cuusoo user DarthKy has shown the X-Men possibilities by building Xavier’s Institute for Higher Learning. The giant X-Mansion is built to fold out and is four stories tall. DarthKy wants to include 45 mini-figures and locations like the Danger Room and Cerebro.  Let's hope it gets made!

Redheads in Literature

I had never thought about it before, but a lot of my favorite literary characters (like, EVER) have been redheads, which is interesting since such a low percentage of the general population are red-haired.
Young Adult author Alison Cherry has put together a great list of the best fictional redheads. "Perhaps my favorite thing about the group of characters listed below is that it shows just how different redheads can be. Underneath those fiery locks and freckles, there are introverts and extroverts, firecrackers and daydreamers, badasses and sweethearts."

Who is your favorite red-haired literary character?

Travelling Through Books

Sometimes we need to be reminded of one of the simplest and most powerful abilities of a book. When we are sick in bed or financially unable to explore the world, anyone can always escape to any time or place through books. I would love to have this framed so that I can always remember the simplest magic of books.
